| Which Is The Best Search Engine? |
|
I find that bias based on your profession can play a role in which search engine you use. If you are in the SEO business then you will most likely have Google.com or Google.co.uk etc as your home page. If your in the news or media fields, Yahoo or MSN will more likely feature as your home page since they display the latest news and feature current articles. Age also sways people when it comes to choosing which search engine they tend to pick. Youngsters are Googlelites and the older generation are more likely to gravitate to MSN. Now that Bing is advertising on televison this search engines will pick up lots of new followers! Bing is a very clever concept and I really like Bing.com and Bing.co.uk. Move your mouse around the home page and see what comes up! I have found that when purchasing online I and the clients of all my customers are use Google in around *80 to 95 percent of the time! So which is the BEST SEARCH ENGINE? : Currently Google provides the best top 10 results based on SEO, Bing allows more keywords in the meta data and this can lead to easily achieving a top 10 position with repetitive keyword use in the sites meta data. Yahoo is the most interesting in terms of varied results. The top 5 pages return varied websites unlike Google which seems to favour just a handful of sites offering the user less of a varied choice. For researching a topic you have seen all your going to see on Google very quickly, but with Yahoo and MSN your more likely to find new and interesting information from great websites that simply don't get a look in on Goggles rankings. Spammy, ebook and adult natured websites should be kept out of a great search engine, sure they have a place online, under a dedicated search engine designed for that purpose, but not on the best search engines standard resultsl.
*80% to 95% of the time - not an official statistic sorry) |
